2. Length and format of the presentation
— Author’s data The original works shall be headed by the name of the author(s), their academic or institutional affiliation, email address and contact number. Their ORCID code should also be included, if available.
If applicable, funding agencies and project codes must be mentioned in the acknowledgments.
The autor of a publication is defined as the sole author or as all those who have made significant intellectual contributions to the study.
If more than one author signs, this must reflect active participation in the development of the article. If contributions to the work are unbalanced, the order in which the authors sign may be justified in a footnote.
— Length and format The length of the articles will depend on the type of section where it will appear, depending on the reviewers’ criteria or the decision of the Journal’s editorial council:
Discussion topics: recommended length of 25 to 30 pages.
Articles: recommended length of 30 to 40 pages.
Research notes: recommended length of 20 to 25 pages
Case law (analysis): recommended length of 8 to 10 pages.
Books reviews: recommended length of 4 to 8 pages
The format for submissions will be as follows: Times New Roman font, size 12, single line spacing and indentation in the first line.
— Title of the paper The papers will be headed by the title (plus its corresponding translation into English), in bold Times New Roman font, larger than size 12, text in lower case with upper case only for the relevant words.
— Table of Contents A table of contents will be included at the start of the paper, used to identify sections and subsections. The headings for the main sections will be upper case letters, numbered I, II, III, etc. and the headings for the sub-sections will be in lower case letters numbered 1.1, 2.1, 2.2, 3.1, etc.
— Abstract and keywords The papers included in the Journal Sections I. DISCUSSION TOPIC, II. ARTICLES and III. RESEARCH NOTES, must present, in addition to the title and the table of contents, three to five keywords that identify the topic to be covered and an ABSTRACT in Spanish, and in English, of between 150 and 250 words. This abstract must include the sections of the article: the state of the issue, the content and development of the research and the conclusions obtained.
— Literal quotes The literal quotes included in the article text must be indicated by quotation marks (« »). If these quotes are more than three or four lines long, they shall be written in a separate paragraph, justified with double indentation and an additional one in the first line when these begin with a capital letter. For book reviews and case law, the limit will be ten lines. The font will be Times New Roman, normal style (round) in size 10.
— Bibliographic citations These citations shall preferably appear within the body of the text. Each one must correspond to a reference in the final bibliography of the article. Auto-citations will only be used when essential. They must be written as follows: (Author, year, page):
(Santaolalla López, 2010, p. 14)
In the case of co-authored papers, authors shall be cited exclusively by their surnames joined by the conjunction “and”: (Valle and Guillén, 2022, pp. 17-54)
If the paper is co-authored by more three or more people, it is enough to cite the first author followed by et al.: (Sánchez Fernández, et al., 2022, p. 307)
When it is necessary to refer to several papers by the same author, the year must be followed by a, b, c, etc. (Arévalo, 2019d, p. 120)
If the surname of the author is embedded in the text, it is not necessary to repeat it. In this case only the year of the cited article and the page must be added in brackets. As stated by Delgado (2018, p. 62)…
— Notes The footnotes must only comprise additional text to substantially complement or amplify information in the text and, if they include bibliographic references, they will be abbreviated according to the rules mentioned above in “Bibliographic citations”, given that the complete references must be written at the end of the article.
Their format will be as follows: Times New Roman font, size 9, and numbered correlatively.
— Bibliography The works cited or bibliographic references will always be included at the end of the paper in a list, in alphabetical order. This heading will only include references cited in the text, with no possibility of including additional references.

— Inclusive and Gender-neutral Languaje
The Journal recommends that published articles use inclusive and gender-neutral language that promotes gender equality in science.
We understand that not all texts are equally suitable for adapting certain linguistic formulas to the demands of egalitarian language. We are also aware that promoting equality goes far beyond merely morphological aspects. However, we assume, as stated in the Guide for Gender-neutral Language (UAM, 2019), that language has sufficient resources and mechanisms to express what it wants to say, such that "whoever produces the message can choose between different forms to express themselves in an inclusive and gender-neutral manner, so that language can be an instrument for change".
We summarize the following points:
Research will use inclusive language, free of biases associated with race, people with disabilities, gender, sexual orientation, beliefs, ideology, or socioeconomic status.
All expressions that stigmatize or discriminate against groups of people will be avoided.
Negative language and condescending terminology will be avoided in the specific case of people with disabilities.
Regarding race, comparisons between groups, essentialisms, or references to minorities are discouraged.
We believe that a small effort in writing articles will ultimately represent a great advance for society. Scientific communication cannot remain indifferent to the changes taking place in the society that sustains it
— Printing proof
This will be sent from the layout service to correct any typos. Proofreading should preferably be done on the document sent by the journal to the author(s) by adding annotations and comments to the PDF. Alternatively, corrections can be made using handwritten revision marks in red on the layout document, by submitting a scanned PDF with sufficient resolution. Corrections must be legible and must clearly indicate the location of the text to be corrected in relation to the layout document.
