Abstract
The United States president is the only elected official at the federal level in that country on a temporary injunction weighing: it can only be reappointed once. The origin of this veto is not in the Constitution, but a costum introduced in the early years of the republic and then in the 22nd Amendment, which had just celebrated its first sixty years of lifetime in 2011. By this time, only two presidents in office have expressed their democratic grounds of suppression, allowing citizens to elect whomever they choose and not to lose the experience of a successful leader. However, unlike what happens with the institution of the electoral college which chooses the president, citizens seem satisfied with their two-terms presidents.
